If we're slow to carry out repairs, you have the right to carry out the repairs yourself and ask for some of the cost back, subject to certain conditions.

Compensation for improvements for tenants was introduced by the Leasehold Reform, Urban Development Act 1993. If you've made certain improvements to your home, we may give you some money towards the cost when you give leave your Testway home.
We wouldn't give you any money back as compensation if:

you bought your home through the 'preserved right to buy' scheme

You bought your home through the 'right to acquire' scheme

if your home is repossessed because you've broken any of the conditions of tenancy
