Testway Transform - money box

Testway Transform Money Box has been set up to help community groups help the community. By giving grants to help community projects, Testway Transform will help improve the lives of people and communities.

Who can apply?

  • Any group that improves the lives of people within the Test Valley Borough Council area and in communities which Testway works

  • Groups with a committee of three people or more people

  • Groups with a bank account of at least two signatories

  • Groups will only be successful if they can show they can complete the project

  • All applicants will have a Testway sponsor who will be a link between Testway and the group. Testway will arrange this if the group has not got one already set up

Grants

  • Grants will normally be no less than £250 and no more than £2,500, although this can be flexible in some cases
  • Applicants need to fill in a short application form and the Testway sponsor will make his/her own assessment and recommendations
  • The grants panel will meet every four months

Funding priorities

  • Priority will be given to groups who have already raised some money of their own for the project
  • Applicants will be asked to show the need for the activity/project and the results they expect
  • Successful applicants cannot apply for another grant for two years

Monitoring/evaluation

  • Successful applicants and their Testway sponsor will fill in short evaluation forms and may need to keep receipts or other evidence of where the grant has been spent
  • Before receiving a grant, groups will need to agree to their stories being published in the media
  • Testway Transform may wish to speak to the people whose lives have been made better by funding
